	In order to play, you must read and agree to all the Contest Rules. Prize: Prize is the cash equivalent of two round-trip tickets ($305/ticket, as of April 14, 2006, for a total prize of $610.00) via Greyhound Bus from Oakland, Calif. to New York, New York (or New York to Oakland). Eligibility: You must be 18 years of age and a legal resident of the U.S. No purchase is necessary, and there is no entry fee. How to Play: Gather the 19 clues provided on the "I-State Lines" website. Contestants are free to use the World Wide Web to gather additional information to aid them in solving the puzzle. Once you have all 19 clues, all you need to solve the puzzle is a piece of grid paper, a pencil, the 26 letters of the alphabet, and the cover of I-State Lines which is displayed on the I-State Lines entry page. There are also several bonus clues, but you won't need them to solve the puzzle. The solution contains an email address. The first contestant to send the full solution to that email address wins. The email's date and time shall be used to ascertain the earliest solution. The full solution must include the solution and the method used to reach that solution. The winner will be notified via email and their name posted on www.i-statelines.com. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. All taxes (federal, state, local, and any other) are winners’ sole responsibility. Prize is not transferable and cannot be assigned. No substitutions allowed. Prize will be paid by check in U.S. currency. Limitations No liability is assumed for lost, late, corrupted, stolen entries, or for misdirected e-mail, technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connection, or failed, incomplete, garbled, corrupted, or delayed computer transmission or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of the entries in this contest. I-statelines.com is not responsible for errors in printing or electronic presentation of the Contest. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including an infection by a computer virus, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond our control which adversely affect the secrecy, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, we reserve the right, at our discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. In the event the contest must be terminated, a notice will be posted on our website. The sole contest sponsor is the author, Charles Hugh Smith; The Permanent Press and its distributors or agents has no connection, implied or otherwise, to the contest, its rules, judging or prize. Notification Prize Winner will be notified by email and will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability within 14 days of notification. A noncompliance within that time period or the return of any notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and, at our discretion, the selection of an alternate Winner. In the event of any other noncompliance with rules and conditions, prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Limits of Liability By participating, all entrants agree that Charles Hugh Smith and The Permanent Press, its distributors, employees, owners and agents will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prize, or participation in this contest. By entering the contest the Prize Winner consents to the use of his or her name and biographical data for publicity and promotional purposes on behalf of future I-statelines.com contests with no additional compensation or further permission (except where prohibited by law).
